18 x 24 pastel on board. Been what seems like forever since I posted a new painting. Completed this last winter. A combination of several reference photos; as I find myself in a mindset of having a painting idea or story I want to tell...then find the necessary references to aid me in telling that story or idea. Challenging to use multiple references in one painting, but very satisfying when it works because there is never a "perfect", single photo that has everything just exactly right for these larger, more complex paintings.

Homeward - pastel

ReplyDeletewonderful Ron -----Do yo use drawing overlays when putting your cmp's together to get the right size and perspectives? I have done that. I use to love the planning but find I am not doing much right now. Keep it up!
