Hot Meets Cold

Another small 5 x 7 oil.  Inspiration for this came one day this winter when it was 15 degress below zero and the steam coming off our local refinery was impressive.

I have found these industrial type scenes fun to paint.

  1. Wow---very nice. so Oils, now while Plein-air? I do sometimes--guess I better get with it!! This is very nice work, and you can feel the steam. We have been doing more buildings--but there are so many barn paintings---I use them for the practise. This is interesting, and has movement.

  2. Hi Ida. No, this was not plein air. 15 degrees below zero is a bit to chilly for me to be plein air painting! Thanks for stopping by, appreciate your comments
