Old Truck, Oil

Haven't posted in a while. Work has taken over lately. Finally got around to doing some painting. This is 4 x 6 inches, oil, on gessoed masonite. It was for the southwestern/western forum monthly challenge in Wet Canvas. It was a fun exercise and a chance to work on my oil painting skills.

  1. Wow Ron, so small and so nice. I was hiking today and could of done many a old car oainting where I live! They used them for shoring up the banks of the creeks so they wouldn't wash out! Was this one Plein-air? Its very nice,

  2. Thanks, Ida, for your comments. Not a plein air, but is was done wet on wet in one sitting. (alla prima, or whatever that fancy word is for that)! Better not let the environmentalists find out about the old cars in the creek!
